This is a review for the Human Touch Wholebody 7.1 reclining massage chair. Priced in the lower to mid range, this ergonomically designed chair offers some compelling features unique to the Human Touch Brand. The best of these is probably the patented Flexglide that boasts a massage similar to that of human hands massaging oil into your body and the BodyMapPro, enabling you to target exact points in your body that need relief.
Human Touch pay great attention to the luxurious designs of their massage chairs and the Wholebody 7.1 is no exception. This stylish chair with it’s leather-like upholstery wouldn’t look out of place in any home with it’s contemporary and beautiful aesthetics.

Flexglide Technology for a “Real” Massage Experience
The “Flexslide” technology is a key feature of the Wholebody 7.1. It is known as orbital massage technology and aims to create the best experience that is as close to a massage with a real person as you can get, providing a deep but moderate in strength, refreshing and revitalising massage as it manipulates your muscles and eases the tension away.
This orbital massage treatment eliminates any issues of uncomfortable pinching or friction that may be an issue in some lower-quality massage chairs.
Warm Air Therapy for the Back
Warm air therapy is another patented technology unique to the Human Touch Robotic massage chair, providing heat therapy to the lumbar region and relieving tension and stiffness in the back muscles. This is perfect for those who suffer from back problems as the warm air can help blood flow and aid in alleviating aches and pains.
Calf and Foot Massage
The ottoman gives a soothing treatment to the calves using the “CirQlation Figure-Eight” action which encourages blood flow to the heart and core of your body. The foot and calf massage has 2 speeds to choose from as well as an automatic program.
If you wish to simply put your feet up and concentrate on other areas of your body, the ottoman flips over so that it acts simply as a comfortable leg rest. What is great about this ottoman is that it moves independently meaning that you can recline the chair and position the leg rest to the most comfortable angle for you.
The ottoman is also retractable which is a great space saving feature when the chair is not in use or if you simply don’t wish to use it during your treatment.
The advantage of BodyMapPro is it enables you to pinpoint the precise zone you wish to treat. Whether it’s your neck, shoulders, spinal area, middle or lower back or the sides of your body, you can start the massage simply with the touch of a button.
The reclining functionality of the Wholebody 7.1 is another feature that is very easy to operate simply by pressing and holding the button until you are in the perfect position.
Automatic Massage Programs
There are 5 automatic massage programs built into this chair, specially prescribed by the Human Touch Wellness Council. These are: “full”, “upper”, “lower”, “relax” and “sleep”.
The types of massage that are included in these programs are:
Stretch: Small circular movements give relief from aches and pains by kneading either side of your spine at the same time effectively lifting and stretching those muscles. This stimulates the blood flow bringing essential nutrients to this area.
Flex: This is the “percussion” method which involves tapping on the muscles and joints of your spine, a technique that is used in sports therapy which helps release pressure on your spine and rejuvenate your back.
Tone: This is a combination of “stretch” and “flex” whereby you experience alternate kneading then tapping. This is a great energizer for your back, improving circulation while at the same time relieving any pressure in the spinal area.
Glide: The glide massage is also great for helping soothe muscle tightness and blood flow as well as relaxation. The roller glides gently up and down near the spine warming and relaxing the muscles which prepares it for a deeper massage if you desire.
There is an additional setting for the “Flex” and “Glide” which gives you the ability to change the massage width enabling you to ensure it hits the spot. You can also customize the vertical range so the massage can be focused the upper, mid or lower back.
An adjustable head pillow means you can re-position it to the most comfortable position for you or it can be removed to experience a wonderful revitalising and relaxing neck massage.
A user-friendly remote control comes with this product. When not in use, there is a handy pocket on the side of the chair for it to slot into.
The unique fifty-five degree swivel base means you can turn it to the exact position you require, a great feature that you don’t find on most other massage chairs.

Past customers have left great reviews, raving about the benefits of the HT Wholebody 7.1. Some of the comments are that it gives an increbible back and neck massage, the pressure is just right and that it feels like a real masseuse.
Customers have said that it’s helped with back problems including back spasms as well as renewing stamina. Other comments are that it is aesthetically pleasing, not too large and looks like a normal recliner when not in use.
Some less positive comments are that the leg/foot massager isn’t so good for thinner legs as there isn’t enough pressure and that it would be good if the leg massager could be extendable for longer legs.
The majority of customer feedback is very positive. To summarise our review, the Human Touch Wholebody 7.1 massage chair offers a great massage for a good price with plenty of functionality and would look great in any living area due to its contemporary design.
